The City of Titusville Police Department is launching a new initiative to enhance community safety by offering complimentary residential security surveys and commercial crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED) site surveys.

This innovative program allows city residents to request a security survey conducted by a certified CPTED practitioner. The inspection will assess homes or commercial properties to identify potential security weaknesses.

Following the site inspection, residents will receive a comprehensive list of options and recommendations aimed at “target hardening” their property. The main goal of this initiative is to bolster the perception of safety and security throughout Titusville.

All security surveys are confidential and exempt from public disclosure, ensuring residents’ privacy is maintained.

“By identifying breaches in home or business security, steps can be taken to reduce criminal opportunities,” said Titusville Code Enforcement Manager Glenn Tolleson. “Additionally, this no-cost analysis could potentially result in safer and more secure places for our residents,” added Tolleson.

For more information about this service or to request a survey, residents are encouraged to email CodeEnforcement@Titusville.com.
