Titusville Police Department has released an update on the double homicide investigation initiated on Monday, July 3, 2023.
The victims, found deceased in the Sandalwood apartment complex on Knox McRae Drive, have been identified as Luis Alfredo Orozco Cambara and Otwual Ramon Castillo.
Cambara, born on October 2, 1990, and Castillo, born on August 16, 1990, both resided in Cocoa, Florida. They were discovered by law enforcement officials who responded to several 911 calls reporting gunshots and victims in and near a parked vehicle.
Upon their arrival at approximately 2:50 PM, officers found one victim, Cambara, just outside the vehicle and Castillo inside it. Both men had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
According to the initial reports, the suspect or suspects had fled the crime scene prior to the arrival of the law enforcement.
Following the gruesome discovery, detectives from the Titusville Police Department immediately secured the area and launched an extensive investigation into the tragic events.
Preliminary evidence indicates that the incident was not random but an isolated one, pointing to a targeted attack on the victims.
Despite the progress in the investigation, many details remain unknown as the detectives continue to piece together the circumstances leading to the brutal murders of Cambara and Castillo.
