City Council Meeting Agenda: Park and Rec Reports, Water Treatment, Housing, and More

The City Council of Titusville has released its agenda for the upcoming meeting scheduled for April 11, 2023. Several important topics, including park and recreation reports, water treatment, housing, and other essential public services, will be discussed.

Here is an overview of the key points to be addressed during the meeting.

  1. North Brevard Commission on Parks and Recreation and Titusville Housing Authority will present their semi-annual written reports, with no action requested.
  2. The Council will discuss and approve various water and sewer service agreements, as well as water treatment plant repairs and maintenance contracts.
  3. The Mourning Dove Water Treatment Plant Roof Repair Project will be awarded to Tech Systems of Melbourne, Florida, for $47,550.
  4. Lawn maintenance services for water production will be awarded to The Spain Group of Vero Beach, Florida, for an annual sum of $26,775.
  5. The Water Treatment Plant Lime Silo Rehabilitation Project will be awarded to Razorback, LLC of Tarpon Springs, Florida, for $65,000.
  6. The Council will discuss the utilization of JEA’s contract with DMD Consultants, Inc. for routine fire hydrant maintenance.
  7. A reduction in the trade-in allowance for city streetsweepers will be discussed and approved.
  8. The Council will discuss ordinances for elected officials’ compensation adjustments, antenna use regulations, and mobile food vendor operations.
  9. A public hearing will be held for the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) No. 10-2022 Lake Fern Academy expansion at 257 Aguinaldo Drive.
  10. The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Affordable Housing Request for Proposal funding will be approved for the Hope Hammock Ph. II affordable housing development located at 550 S. Brown Avenue in the amount of $945,410
  11. The City Council will consider advisability on transitional housing, affordable housing property disposition programs, and a community land trust partnership.
  12. The extension of the Code Enforcement Lien Amnesty Program will be approved for an additional six months.
  13. The 2023 Water Supply Facilities Work Plan will be approved and adopted.
  14. Ad valorem tax abatements for tax year 2022 will be discussed and approved for Brix Project Brewery, LLC, Eckler Industries, and Paragon Plastics.
