Two arrested after Cocoa police stop vehicle in Titusville after shots fired at police

Two individuals are facing multiple felony charges following a traffic stop gone wrong, which involved shots being fired at police officers. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.

According to law enforcement officials, earlier this evening, officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic infraction.

However, the female driver of the vehicle decided to flee, with the male passenger firing at least three shots at the officers as they tried to get away.

Following the incident, officers initiated a pursuit on US 1, with support from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

The chase ultimately came to an end in Titusville, where the driver crashed into another vehicle. The occupants of the suspect vehicle were then apprehended.

During the incident, there was a toddler in the suspect vehicle who was not properly secured. Fortunately, the child was unharmed.

An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing, with assistance being provided by the Titusville Police.
