This year, over fifty local children in Titusville were given the opportunity to partake in the annual Shop with a Cop event just before Christmas.

The program was made possible by a partnership between Titusville Police and the non-profit organization Titusville Police Youth Foundation, which provided each child with $100 to spend at either Wal-Mart or Target.

These children were paired up with an officer or department volunteer who donated their time to lead them on their individual Holiday Shopping Spree.

Deputy Chief Todd Hutchinson spoke about how much joy this event brings every year: “This is an event our department team members look forward to every year” he said.
“Additionally, our local businesses and citizens champion an exceptional outpouring of support providing the driving force behind this annual holiday outreach”.
Funds for these shopping sprees were provided by multiple sources including Wal-Mart, Target, Plumbing Masters, Riverview Pilot Club and from donations from other members of the community as well.
