Officer involved shooting after shooting at motel under investigation

Titusville Police are investigating a shooting that took place around 11:am Wednesday morning.

It happened at the Siesta Motor Inn at 2006 Washington Ave.

Police said that the owner of the motel, Daniel Wade, was shot and killed by a guest staying at the motel.

The guest also tried shooting a second employee, but the gun jammed, according to law enforcement.

The shooter fled, but Titusville police were able to track him down.

The shooter then pulled out a gun and fired at the officers.

No police officers were hurt.
