Le Crave closes, after Unpaid Rent since Dec. 2019

A long-time employee showed up for work at Le Crave in Titus Landing on Friday morning. Instead, he was met with a ‘CLOSED’ sign. He was out of a job.

On September 13, a customer posted a photo on the restaurant’s Google listing of a three day notice to vacate, which was posted on the restaurants front door, located in Titus Landing, that evening.

After a post on a Facebook page about the notice, a number of former employees started commenting about the behavior of the owner and his wife and working conditions while employed, while some employees commented about possible health concerns related to food being prepared..

According to the State Restaurant Inspection data on the Department of Business and Professional Regulation website, on July 7th, 2022, an Administrative complaint was filed, with a Follow-up Inspection Required. The complaint lists that Le Crave was “Operating with an expired Division of Hotels and Restaurants license”, and public record shows the license is ‘Delinquent’ as of April 2022.

Florida laws state “Any public lodging or food service establishment operating on an expired license is deemed to be operating without a license”

According to the Department’s database, Le Crave of Titusville had a total of 160 violations recorded since January 2019, which include violations for “Crepe spinner with mold like substance” listed in a July 7th, 2022 Inspection Report, and “Ceiling/ceiling tiles/vents soiled with accumulated food debris, grease, dust, or mold-like substance” in a September 15th inspection complaint.

Public documents also show that Le Crave of Titusville LLC took out over $100,000 in Federal PPP Loans in October of 2021.

The owner of the Titusville location also has other Le Crave restaurants, with one in Rockledge and one in Waterford Lakes, which has since closed.

The owner, Tuan Le, ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Florida’s 10th Congressional District, which covers the Orlando area. He lost in the Republican primary on August 23, 2022.
