Today marks the first day for the newest Brevard County Fire Rescue Recruit Class at the Fire Rescue Center in Rockledge.

This is the first day of their 10 week orientation which will include in-class, field and certification requirements to become a future BCFR member.

BCFR is now accepting apps for their next #BCFR recruiting class. The salaries posted below, which start October 1st, were a success after negotiation between the Brevard County Commission and the Brevard County Professional Firefighter’s Union IAFF Local 2969

Brevard County Fire Rescue is an ALS transport agency that hires State of Florida certified Firefighter/EMTs and Firefighter/Paramedics. Applicants must possess a valid State of Florida driver’s license, current CPR/ACLS certification, and a current CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test). Applicants will be required to pass a high-level background investigation.

All Firefighter/ EMTs must agree to become paramedic certified within Departmental time frames. Tuition will be provided by the Department.
