On Sunday Titusville Police Department was notified about an armed male in a Dodge Ram truck at the corner of Cleveland Street and Rosehill Avenue.
Officers arrived on scene and located the truck. After several commands to exit the vehicle, officers detained the male, Jamar Murray of Titusville. The officers searched Murray and found a Smith and Wesson MP45 semi auto pistol, with five rounds in the magazine and one round in the chamber.
Murray also had a small zipper case, which officers found $5670 in cash and also a ‘Super Mario’ backpack where officers found 51.7g of cannabis in five separate bags, a small plastic scale and a paper box. The small paper box had a single MDMA pill along with a clear bag that contained 74 alprazolam pills.
While officers were searching the vehicle, officers found a black backpack that had an unloaded Walther P22 semi automatic pistol in a case and 2 fully loaded magazines for the Walther P22
A post-arrest interview, Murray said he had placed the MP45 in his pocket as officers arrived on scene.
Murray is being held in the Brevard County jail for the following charges
- Commit second-degree felony with Latin
- 2 Counts Possession of firearm by convicted felon
- Possession firearm ammo by convicted felon
- Possession of cannabis with intent to sell or deliver
- Possession of alprazolam Xanax
- Possession of MDMA
- Resisting officer without violence
