Yesterday Titusville Police responded to reports of a male with a gun near the wood line of Temple Baptist Christian School while children were outside playing on the playground. A school security employee noticed Edwards sitting on the property not wearing any pants.

The security officer noticed Bochi had a gun between his legs and told Bochi that he was not allowed to be on school grounds and told him to leave. The security officer then noticed Bochi appeared to “rack” the firearm and placed it in his bag before walking off the property.

The security guard stated Bochi appeared to be angry as he walked off. The security guard gave the description of Bochi to a police dispatcher and describe the firearm.

Several TPD officers arrived on scene and located Bochi walking behind the gas station at LaGrange and US1. The security guard pointed out Bochi as the person he called about.

Titusville police officers made several commands to Bochi to stop and get on the ground. Bochi refuse to get on the ground and was eventually tased. Bochi was also given commands to put his hands behind his back after he was on the ground but refused. He was placed in handcuffs by force and then secured in the back of a patrol car.

Officers found a loaded 45 caliber firearm with six rounds of ammunition from a backpack that Bochi was carrying.

Bochi is being held at the Brevard County jail with no bond on charges of:

  • armed trespassing
  • possession of a weapon on school property
  • resisting an officer without violence
