Titusville Police arrested a local man who deliberately struck an adult male bicyclist with his vehicle. 

Kevin Rex Ross, 55, of Titusville, was charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.

The preliminary investigation revealed that at 1:45 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2020, the suspect purposely accelerated his 2018 silver Chevy Cruze in the parking area of 4835 Helen Houser Boulevard, struck the victim on his bicycle and continued driving as the victim tumbled from the front to the end of the vehicle.

The victim and suspect were known to each other and had a verbal altercation just prior to the incident. 

The suspect was arrested at the crime scene. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. 

Ross is being held at the Brevard County Jail with a $15,000 bond.
